This handcrafted kuripe is a one-of-a-kind bamboo rapé self-applicator featuring howlite and complementary stone accents. Each piece is individually made using bamboo and carefully selected materials, creating a functional tool that is also a small work of art.
The sculpted body is finished in a soft stone-grey tone and centres around a triangular howlite stone with natural veining. Beneath the centre stone sits a small accent detail, while three bead strands extend below the piece, incorporating smoky quartz, agate, and hematite. The neutral mineral palette gives the kuripe a balanced, understated character.
Natural bamboo forms the structure of the kuripe, keeping the piece lightweight while providing a durable base for the sculpted body and stone elements.
Kuripes are traditionally used as self-applicators for rapé (hapé), a finely powdered sacred tobacco used in various Amazonian traditions. This piece is offered simply as a handcrafted tool made with respect for those traditions.
Because each kuripe is handmade and uses natural stone, variations in colour and pattern are part of the character of the piece.
