Disciplines converge in layered expressions of meaning

My framed pieces are where disciplines meet—digital design, pressed flowers, painting, and written word coming together into layered works of art. These creations often take the longest to complete, evolving slowly through many stages until the elements align in balance.

Each piece carries the energy of both material and meaning. Pressed flowers embody cycles of impermanence and beauty; paint and pattern bring rhythm and geometry; words and symbols offer prayer, affirmation, or reflection. Together, they create works intended not only to be seen, but to be lived with—pieces that hold presence in a space, anchoring both spirit and intention.

Consecration of The Space (2021)

This piece is a sacred prayer for the protection and blessing of a space, often spoken within the Santo Daime tradition. The text is encircled by pressed flowers collected over years of Daime works, each bloom carrying the memory of ceremony and devotion.

The creation unfolded slowly, with every placement chosen in reverence. It is one of my favourite examples of converging mediums—prayer, text, and natural materials woven together. More than an artwork, it serves as both altar and offering: a living reminder of prayer, ceremony, and connection.

Meu Pai é o Sol (2021)

This piece was created with love for my father, who has always surrounded himself with suns collected on his journeys, each one a symbol of light and warmth in his home. Its name is drawn from a Santo Daime hymn, Meu Pai é o Sol, Minha Mãe é a Lua—a prayer honouring light, healing, and the eternal union of Father Sun and Mother Moon.

Painted in radiant mandala form, the sun is expressed through layered dots of red, gold, and white, emanating outward like rays of vitality and strength. For me, this work reflects my father’s spirit: a bright and steady light of inspiration and guidance. It is both personal and devotional—a reminder of gratitude, lineage, and the healing force of light.

I Am An Unstoppable Warrior (2021)

This piece was created as a celebration of a dear friend and the qualities that shine through her Libra spirit. The affirmation at its center is a declaration of strength, courage, confidence, and resilience—qualities I wanted to highlight and honour in her.

The design combines graphic elements with pressed flowers, creating a frame of natural colour and texture around the words. Each petal and hue was chosen to amplify the energy of the affirmation, turning it into a work of both beauty and empowerment. It is a reminder of inner power, meant to uplift and inspire each time it is read.
